Jake was picked up as a stray in rural Kentucky and his family was located but made the difficult decision to surrender him to the shelter. With an amaizng foster offer, we were able to reach out to the shelter to let them know that we could pull him. Jake has been all updated on his vetting, had a small skin tag removed, was neutered and microchipped, had his leg x-rayed for what appeared to be an old injury and had his eyes checked.  The radiographs of his leg looked good – soft tissue swelling and the beginnings of some arthritic changes, but nothing too suspicious, which is great and his eye pressures are normal. He tested positive for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia and has started on a round of Doxycycline. Jake is all settled in at his Kentucky foster home and his for foster brother Radar is his new best friend and also his "eyes" as Radar leads Jake around by his slip lead to help him maneuver his way...it's adorable!!!!
