About Nibbles | |

Nibbles is an incredibly handsome and sweet boy who tested very well with female dogs at the shelter but didn't care much for his male kennel mate, however neither boy was neutered yet. He will be moving to his temporary foster home in North Carolina after a quick trip to the vet :) We will update with more information on Nibbles as we get to know him.
UPDATE: Nibbles made his way from North Carolina to North Dakota! He did great on his very long transport and loved absolutely everyone. He seemed to have a little bit of a crush on Reece :) Nibbles is a super fun and energetic boy who loves to play, play, play. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is getting to know his foster fursister Aubrey and they are becoming best friends. Nibbles is also good with kids.
FROM NIBBLES' FOSTER MOM: Nibbles is very playful – he loves his stuffed animals and rope toys. He listens well, too. He knows sit and shake and loves to play fetch. He rides great in the car. No problems there J Not really any bad traits that I can name. We have only taken Nibbles on a couple of walks, since it has been pretty cold here, and haven’t really run into any other dogs. He did good walking with our senior female Boxer, and he did good when I took him to Petsmart on Saturday for a bath and nail trim. He does well walking on the harness. He’s a little bit of a puller, but nothing that can’t be worked on. I believe he is right around the 2 ½ year old range. Nibbles is housebroken and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate at night but only because our three year old sometimes wanders during the night and we don't want him to startle the dogs.
As his name indicates, he loves to nibble on your ears when he gives you a kiss. He is such a lover! I am not sure how he is with male dogs, but I am sure if you do the two week shutdown with him, it will be no problem. It seemed to work very well at our house in him getting used to our female boxer. Nibbles is a big boy, almost 62 pounds. He is the biggest cuddler there is. I was also told from the Petsmart grooming salon that Nibbles was a “perfect gentleman”. I sure will miss him when he gets adopted!
