Lucie's family had some things change in their lives and wanted to do what was best for her which included being in a home where someone would be with her more hours of the day.  Lucie is good with other dogs and with kids and formerly lived with three cats.

THE LATEST FROM LUCIE'S FOSTER MOM: Lucie is an older girl but the only thing that gives it away is her graying muzzle. She enjoys walking, exploring and wading in the lake. She is playful and runs around with her furry friends but she loves her comfy down time too! She knows how to sit and shake. She is sweet, well behaved and happy being by your side or laying nearby. She loves to cuddle and enjoys every minute you want to spend petting her. Car ride? She’s ready!

She has not had any accidents in the house. Remember, I’m home pretty much all day. I’m outside a lot so the dogs come with me, which gives Lucie lots of opportunities to go potty. She sleeps in her kennel at night with no whining to go out and no accidents in the kennel. I do think it would be great if she could go to a home with a family that someone stays home, works from home or part time. She is too old to be crated for 8-10-12 hours.

Lucie can’t jump up on the bed or couch or get in the car on her own because they are too tall. She has an old ACL injury but is doesn't slow her down much except for the jumping.  She is on Rimadyl to help with that discomfort.
