Dakota is a very special girl...so special that everyone rearranged their weekend to help get her from Kentucky to Minnesota for her urgently needed vet care.  She was struck by a car and even though her family loves her very much they made the tough decision to let her come to rescue for all of her needs.  More info to come after seeing Mollie and Dr. Scanlan at Otter Lake and when she gets settled in at her Minnesota foster home.

UPDATE:  Dakota has arrived in Minnesota.  She is at the vet clinic and will need multiple surgeries to repair her leg and toes.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

THE LATEST:  Dakota had her surgeries on April 5 and April 7 and she is recovering at her Minnesota foster home.  She is good with kids and with other dogs and is "OK" with cats :)  

MEDICAL UPDATE ON 5/8:  Dakota was at the clinic today and got new bandages done and her outer hardware taken off.  She is now in soft casts...YAY!  She will be spayed and have the pins removed from her rear leg next week and then she will be all ready to find her furever home.
