Our little Annie was surrendered to a vet clinic in Kentucky with a badly broken/wounded leg.  She was a Christmas pup and we are not sure what happened to her leg, but it required more treatment than the family was willing to get her through.  When we were contacted about Annie we immediately said yes...we would LOVE to have her!!!  Through donations raised by the clinic, the majority of treatment for her leg injury was covered, however she continued to have issues with one paw pad and toe.  After lots of medication and hydrotherarpy it was looking much better so she left the clinic and was moved to her Indianapolis foster home after her spay surgery and microchip implant.  Unfortunately her toe has continued to give her problems and with infection still in the nailbed and in the bone we have made the tough choice to amputate the toe, which will be much easier on her in the long run.  We will be getting that surgery scheduled soon as she just arrived a her Minnesota foster home on 4/20.  

Annie is wonderful with other dogs and with kids.  She crates up but sometimes has a lot to say about it :)  She loves to run and play and her toe doesn't seem to slow her down any.  She also seems to be OK with cats at this point.  she is housebroken and very quickly mastered the doggie door thanks to her fursiblings showing her the ropes.  

5/13 UPDATE:  Annie's toe surgery went great!  She is recovering in her foster home.
