Julian lived most of his young life chained outside. That life is history! He is at the vet clinic for all vetting then will move to his Indianapolis temporary foster home so we can get to know him better. Julian was terrified when he first arrived at the clinic, he likely had never seen a vet before. He warmed up to everyone there very quickly and even started giving kisses! He has met the vet's dog and did well with him.
UPDATE FROM JULIAN'S FOSTER MOM: Julian is a sweetheart. He has lots of energy and loves to play and run. He came to me after living on a chain outside his entire life so everything was scary for him. He was scared of the doorways, tv, fridge, microwave and so much more. Over time he has gotten used to a lot of the normal house things. I think my 2 boxers have helped him to realize that things are not so scary.

He sleeps in a crate at night and when I am not home. I also have a 13 year old son whom he adores.
Julian does get nervous meeting new people. He will bark or growl at them while waging his tail. It takes a few minutes and then he is up in laps giving kisses. He isn’t aggressive at all, just scared. I think this will go away with time and him becoming more social. It helps that he sees my dogs not being scared. We are working on getting him out where he sees new things so it desensitizes him to new people.
