About Susie | |

Susie is a beautiful brindle girl who was picked up as a stray in northern Kentucky. She arrived at the vet clinic and all it took was a a couple of days and the wonderful staff showing her so much love and giving her a warm medicated bath to bring her out of her shell. She is incredibly sweet and and she is eating great! She will receive all of her needed vetting then she will need a foster home to relax in so we can get to know her better and help her find her perfect home.
1/31: Susie has started on her pre-treatment medications and will be moving to her Minnesota foster home very soon!
3/2: Susie arrived at her Minnesota foster home a couple of weeks ago and has gotten pretty comfy. It did take her a little bit to adjust to the much colder temperatures and all of the snow on the ground but she has finally decided that it's not so bad. Susie is getting the royal treatment in her foster home including getting a pawdicure and getting medicated baths for her dry/itchy skin, which she has really started to love. She will be seeing the vet on Friday to ensure that she is healthy enough to start heartworm treatment as she was pretty thin when she joined us. Her foster mom & dad have been working with her on crate training and she is doing great!! She also has a new best friend in her foster furbrother Sarge.
4/4 UPDATE: Susie is undergoing heartworm treatment and is doing great! She is on her second round of treatment and after a few weeks of crate and couch rest she will be all ready to be spayed and have some needed dental work.
6/9/20: Susie is about 8 weeks post heartworm treatment and we will be getting her retested very soon to see if she can be cleared for spay and dental surgery.
8/17/20: We are getting closer to the big day to retest Susie after her heartworm treatment. She is doing well in her foster home and will be ready for adoption very soon!!
11/22/20: Susie had her heartworm recheck and she was cleared for surgery! She will be spayed and get her needed dental work done on December 8th.
