This precious little guy was surrendered to a central Illinois shelter due to some life changes going on with his family.  He is full, full, FULL of puppy energy and has a vertical leap like you wouldn't believe!  He is extremely sweet, loving, smart. eager to please and knows his name.  He is learning how to sit for a treat and to be let out of his crate.  He crates up with no issues at all.  He is also housebroken.  Max formerly lived with a toddler and there was also a cat in the home.  He is learning how to interact properly with other dogs and to not drive them crazy to get them to play with him.  Please check back in as we will post updates on Max very soon!!

UPDATE:  Max is getting along great in his Indiana foster home.  He is learning some manners and basic obedience and is learning that it is best to greet new human friends without jumping on them.  He is incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle and gives tons of kisses.  Max is full of wiggles and FULL of energy.  As of right now, he will do best in a home with older children as he does have some food bowl guarding issues that his foster mom is working on with him.  Max will do fine with sharing his home with other dogs and with cats, but he might be a little too energetic for older, calmer dogs.  He would love to have a home with a fenced in yard and/or with an active family who will make sure he gets the exercise that a young Boxer needs.  As with all of our younger dogs, at Max' age and with his energy level, obedience/training classes will be an adoption requirement.
