***MARGERIE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION UNTIL AT LEAST 5/12***
This beautiful girl will be sprung from the shelter tomorrow! So far we know she is approximately 7 years old, is good with other dogs and has had her routine vetting completed. She does have some typical Boxer lumps and bumps that we will be getting looked at and taken care of once she arrives at her Indiana foster home. Please check back for more pictures and updated information on our girl soon!!!
UPDATE: Margerie will see the vet on 5/11 and is tentatively scheduled for surgery on 5/13 to take care of those Boxer bumps. She has fit right in at her foster home and is an amazing girl. She is fabulous with the male and female resident dogs and loves, loves, loves her daily conversations and story time with her little skinfoster sister. She is incredibly sweet and gentle, housebroken and crates up very well. We will also be checking with the vet for his estimate on her age as we believe that Margerie is younger than 7 years :)
5/15 UPDATE: Margerie continues to be a doll and just a perfect girl. Her surgery was postponed as Dr. Mark put her on prednisone to see if we can get one of her bumps to shrink a little bit before removal so he can get clearer margins. He also agreed that she is younger than 7 years, so we have estimated her age at closer to 5.5-6 years old.
6/16 UPDATE: Margerie had surgery for the tumor removal and did GREAT. The report came back as mast cell on one of the bumps but Dr Mark feels that he got great margins and all that is needed is to watch for any regrowth. She saw the vet yesterday to have her sutures removed and did fantastic.
