Chase arrived at his Minnesota foster home a few weeks ago and he is ready to find his forever home.  He is wonderful with kids and with other dogs.  He is incredibly handsome and smart!  He learned how to hug very quickly and he is full of love and kisses for everyone he meets!!

Chase's ideal home will have another dog and children as he loves both!  He will need some help feeling secure when crated while his family is not home, his foster family will continue to work on that.

FROM HIS FOSTER MOM:

You will fall in love with this beautiful boy the moment you meet him! When first meeting people, he can be a little “springy” but then settles down right away. It’s just his way of meeting people when he gets excited. We are working on those manners though. He is treat driven and eager to please which makes for easy obedience training. For being a young dog, he is very lazy. Give him a bone and a soft bed, he will be a happy camper! He is not allowed on the furniture here for training purposes but we can tell if we let him, he would snuggle up in your lap on the sofa instantly. He is great with our kids. We have not once witnessed any type of aggression from him. The kids are all over him, and he just so tenderly lets them! He definitely is more of a submissive personality, rolls over belly up right away. We haven’t had him play with other dogs but can tell how he likes to play with us that he really would do great with another dog. He has good leash manners on a walk, and did very well when walking by other dogs. He has only barked once the whole time he has been here and it was just a woof.

Chase does have some separation issues when we leave while he is in his crate. I think with some training and trust building he will be able to get through it. He loves his crate and will go in there voluntarily otherwise. He would do great with an owner that worked from home for the long run or is home much of the day. Overall, Chase is such a sweet boy, he loves people and would be a great addition to any family!
