Bella joined the rescue about a week or so ago and she is getting all comfy at her foster home.  We are waiting on previous medical records and she will see our vet next week to get all of her needed vetting.  Bella is overweight so her foster mom is working on that and we will also get her checked out for a possibly thyroid issue.  Bella is super sweet and is fabulous with other dogs.

12/29/21 UPDATE:  Bella checked out pretty good at her vet visit :)  She does have some dental work that needs to be done and has a small bump on her belly that we are checking with the vet on possible removal.  She did some x-rays to check on her hips and they did see some dysplasia...we have started her on some Dasuquin and her foster mom said she has seen some improvement.  She continues to do very well with the other dogs at her foster home and loves a good adventure outside but she also loves to snuggle with her foster mom.

1/6/22 UPDATE:  Bella had dental surgery on 1/4 and did fantastic.  She had her teeth clieaned, had two bad teeth removed and had a bunch of gingival hyperplasia tissue trimmed back from the upper and lower gums on both sides.  She also had a mass  removed from her belly that was just a fatty tumor (no worries!) and a small bump removed her leg that we sent in for pathology.  Bella had started leaking a little bit of urine while she slept and since we were able to obtain some medical records from a previous vet, we learned that she had been on Proin.  We have started her back on that and the urine dribbling has already greatly improved.

***Bella will very likely need to be on Proin for the rest of her life.***
