This adorable little dude was found as a stray in rural Kentucky and appeared to have been brushed by a train, as he was found laying near the tracks.  He is a lucky boy....he has been all checked out and no broken bones or other injuries, just some abrasions.  Dempsey has received all of his routine vetting and has been neutered.  We don't know much about him yet but we are guessing at his age that he is good with other dogs and of course he loves people.  

4/15 UPDATE:  Dempsey is just about the best dog ever!  He absolutely loves everyone he meets...both two-legged and four-legged.  He is doing very well with the cats in his foster home.  If he starts to get into a little puppy mischief he redirects very quickly and easily.  He loves to run and play in the yard and also is the best snuggler when it's quiet time.  Like a typical young dog, he eats his food super fast and tends to drink a little too much water...foster mom is using a slow feeder to slow him down on eating and will be limiting his water intake.   We are also testing him for a UTI, just to be sure.

6/2 UPDATE:  Due to a dog allergy in his adoptive home, Dempsey is coming back to the rescue.  Everyone is just heartbroken.  Dempsey is pretty much the perfect dog.  He is wonderful with cats, kids and other dogs.  Dempsey is housebroken, crate trained and great on the leash.

FROM HIS ADOPTER:  Dempsey is just the sweetest pup! He is a fairly mellow puppy; however, loves to to play, play, play! When outside he loves walks, exploring all the new smells, and going to kids sports events because everyone pets him because he’s just so cute! He’s crate trained during the day and loves to sleep all night long cuddling in bed. In a few weeks he eagerly learned to sit, lay, and shake. He will make a family very happy with all the love he has to give.
