This handsome Kentucky boy arrived at his Illinois foster home and is getting to know his foster dad.  Puggy was beiing left behind when his family moved away so neighbors took him in, we believe these were the same neighbors who took him to the vet when he was hit by a car at approximately 6 months old.  The neighbor already had several big dogs and Puggy didn't like them around his food, so off to the shelter he went.  He walks with a little bit of an odd gate from his previous injury but runs and plays and it definitely doesn't slow him down.  We did get his back end x-rayed just to see what happened to him and found that his pelvis had had multiple breaks and his leg had been broken.  Everything healed well and Dr R found no issues with mobility or pain.  Puggy will likely need joint supplements as he gets older as he will likely have some arthritis from his injuries.  He did well with other dogs at the shelter and doesn't have any food guarding issues with people.  Puggy loves water and you can't hardly get him out of the bathtub.  He is soooooooo incredibly sweet and has the best smile!!!
