This gorgeous boy found himself on borrowed time at a Memphis Tennessee shelter after being picked up as a stray. The shelter had him estimated at 12 years old but we are pretty sure he is younger than that...we will see what the vet thinks. Ruffalo is able to stand but he has no use of his back legs. At first we thought it was possibly degenerative myelopathy however the shelter had him checked over and they were leaning towards spondylosis. We are also not ruling out that he was injured at some point during his life and never treated for his injury. It seems that he has been in this condition for a while as he is quite good at scooting around to get where he wants to go. He is incredibly sweet and gentle and absolutely loves everyone. We will be getting him to the university and getting some tests done to see what we are looking at with him medically. He also tested heartworm positive at the shelter and we will get more testing done on that as well to confirm his heartworm status.
