Spike will be joining the rescue towards the end of April.  He is older but don't let that fool you...he is still super friendly, playful and loves to go for walks and car rides.  Spike is good with other dogs, with cats and with kids. Hisfavorite toys are rope toys and he loves to play tug-o-war.  Spike is afraid of loud voices and can sometimes get anxious and have a potty accident if his people have been gone too long. 

Spike is already neutered but needs to get all of his routine vetting updated. We are working on getting all of his vetting paperwork rounded up, but we do know that he has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, so there will be some ongoing care for that.  

UPDATE 5/19:  Spike made his way to his Illinois foster home this past Monday and he is fitting right in.  He is the most gentle soul and is doing great with the small senior dog and the cats in the home.  He will be seeing the vet on 5/23 to get all of his updated vetting done.

UPDATE 5/30:  Spike is all caught up on his vetting and he is doing great!!!
