Suzy is a beautiful and sweet southern girl who was surviving in the woods for about two months thanks to some people feeding and watering her. One of the ladies earned her trust enough to finally get her to come to her and get her to safety.  Suzy has had brief interactions with the resident dogs in her foster home and she has done amazing. She is housebroken. She has received all of her initial vetting and we will get her scheduled for space surgery very soon. We will post updated pictures and information as we get to know her better!

7/20 UPDATE:  Suzy now called Lucy was spayed and did great and thank goodness it was done when it was as it was found that she had open Pyometra, which can be fatal if not caught in time.  She was not showing any symptoms and we are super thankful that is was caught so early.  Lucy did test positive for heartworm disease and started on pre-treatment medications.  

12/4 UPDATE:  Lucy has undergone heartworm treatment and did great!!  She had her scound round of injections a couple of weeks ago and is still on crate rest for now but she should be ready to go soon!!!  Lucy has done well with male dogs but she prefers not to share her home with small dogs or other female dogs.

12/23:  Lucy is READY to find her furever home!
