Bonnie's owner passed away and family could not take her in so she found herself at a VERY overcrowded shelter in Georgia.  She is estimated at 12-ish years old and came to us barely weighing 30 lbs.  Thanks to some amazing help from Atlanta Boxer Rescue, she was pulled from the shelter and overnighted with volunteers Belinda & Joel in Georgia, then made her way to Heartland Veterinary Hosptial in Kentucky, with special thanks to Belinda & Joel and to Becky for making that happen.  Bonnie has a ways to go to get some weight back on...she is eating several small meals a day and after being treated for coccidia is doing MUCH better and starting to put some weight on.  She had two open wounds on her legs that appeared to be pressure sores, after antibiotics and laser therapy those are looking much better.  She should be cleared to be released from the clinic very soon then she will go to her forever foster home in Kentucky.  Bonnie is available for sponsorship to help cover the cost of her special diet, monthly preventatives, and any medication or medican/vetting needs that might come up.
