Nate was found in pretty bad shape in rural Kentucky.  He has been treated for demodex mange and his hair is starting to grow back already :)  Nate is full of kisses and wiggles.  He is good with other dogs and loves all people.  Nate is a little protective of his food bowl, most likely from not knowing where his next meal was coming from.  His foster family will work on that with him.

THE LATEST ON NATE:

My name is Nate. I have had a ruff start but things are looking up for me. I was found in rural Kentucky wandering the streets. I was super skinny and had this skin condition that was no fun at all. My hair has grown back and I'm gaining weight so things are looking up. I saw the vet today and she said I was perfect.

Nate's foster mom here, he really is a special boy. He needs to work on some manners but for the most part he is really good. He loves to cuddle and be as close as he can to you, but he is also good just laying in a sunbeam by himself. He doesn't say much with his mouth but talks a lot with his eyes. The vet says he can't be more than two years old.

Nate knows how to sit and knows what go lay down means. He is housebroken and sleeps all night in a dog bed next to our bed. He also will go in his crate with the right motivation. We are working on wait with his food and he is doing pretty well. He is learning to walk on a leash and not pull. All things that will come in time and with a little training.

You gotta love his boxer underbite and face!

THE LATEST ON NATE:  Nate has been with us a few weeks now. He is a super sweet boy. He is house trained and does really well with our resident dog Bella. He came to us with what felt like a piece of extra bone in his leg. Come to find out it was two bullets. He has had both of them removed now and is healing well. He loves to snuggle, play or should I say destroy toys. He likes to remove the stuffing. He is a chewer and prefers antlers. He enjoys his kong also. He doesn't like his crate much but will go in. Cries while alone some days and other days he does fine. No food aggression he and Bella eat at the same time in the same room and he does wait for you to invite him to eat. He is a super sweet dog who will love you unconditionally!

Nate has natural tail and ears! He is gorgeous and would love to have a new forever family for the holidays.
