Sampson is a southern gentlemen who will be joining the rescue today.  He is getting all of his vetting and will go to his Alabama foster home to hang out for a while.  So far we know that he is great with other dogs and that his is very eager to please his people.

UPDATE:  Sampson is all vetted and is settling into his Alabama foster home.  He is a total wigglebutt!  He has great leash manners and loves to give hugs.  He is doing great with the resident dogs in the home and is still trying to figure out what cats are. 

According to his Alabama foster mom: He is a ball of fun. He has came into my house and fits right in with dogs, cats, sleeping arrangements, goes potty with other kids, does not play hard, is not hoggish (eats his own food) has yet to jump on my couches (he can if he wants, does not go in the bedrooms unless invited (breaks my heart to see him wait to be asked to come in), plays so sweet with the other dogs, if they take his toy he let's them. If my big bossy bratty Boxer is laying in his dog bed Sampson will lay on the part he is not on, I'm still not sure on kids but I'm sure we will have some here this weekend and we will see then. But seeing how perfect he is here with the chaos of the other dogs & bratty cats and how loving he is, I'm sure he will be just fine.

Sampson is GREAT with kids, cats, dogs...everyone.  He will be undergoing heartworm treatment soon. 

UPDATE:  Sampson has completed heartworm treatment and is ready to find his furever home.  He is wonderful with other dogs and LOVES kids.  He will make a great addition to any family!!
