Prez is a true love bug. "How close can I get to you" is his favorite game.  If you move he pushes himself closer. He has been doing really well with house training as long as we use the belly band. He is also doing really well learning how to fetch. He already knows sit and lay. We will definitely need to work on stay.  He is good with his foster fursiblings and is learning how to play.  Rocky's perfect owner would live an active lifestyle and he would make the best walking, running or hiking partner.

UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER MOM:  Prez aka Mickey has become the bathing beauty. If I don't lock the bathroom door he will keep pushing on it until it opens and jump in the shower with me. He loves the shower and he absolutely loves the blow dryer. He cries if I don't use the brush on him. He is quite the fruit ball. He is learning sit stay down. He has not had any accidents in the house since learning how to live inside. He goes for a two mile walk every day.  Like all young Boxers, if he is not exercised he gets into trouble. ...countersurfing and chewing things he is not supposed to. He is now getting along very well with other dogs, however introduction is essential and a strong leader who can tell if he is playing or trying to get up a notch in the pack.

THE LATEST!  Prez (he now answers to Mickey) has learned so much in the past two months. He sits when everyone else sits for treats. He still thinks about counter surfing but has been resisting.  He is also walking like a champ on the leash.  Baxter and Rio have been able to teach him how to play with other boxers. However he is far to rough for little children. He doesn't understand them. He is a puppy through and through. Now that he is relaxed he is into the boxer antics. Silly silly boy. He grabs the first thing he can (usually Steve's boot) when we get home. This is partly why he goes for such long walks/runs. Two miles isn't much for him. He has gone up to six miles in a day and still wanted to go walking an hour later.  He absolutely loves loves loves liver treats. They can make him do almost anything. We are trying to get him to stay for longer than a few seconds.  He has learned how to claim his spot on the bed. I do think he will be great with another dog or two. I don't think he will do well being an only dog. He cannot be put in a wire crate.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats

Special Needs: Prez would do best in a home with no cats and with older children. He cannot be crated in a wire crate.
