Ricky will be making his way to Minnesota very soon where he will be seeing a specialist to see what is going on with his heart.  He will need heartworm treatment, as well, so he will be chilling out at his foster home for a while before he is ready to be adopted.

THE LATEST ON RICKY:  He's a huge snuggle buddy. He constantly wants to be on your lap or right next to you. He doesn't fully understand he's 60 pounds. But what boxer does!

He sleeps on the dog bed but by 2am he has somehow make it in our bed and right up to our pillows. He is just a happy dog. Fastest nub I've ever seen. A million miles an hour! Loves it when you come home - feels like the 1st time he's ever seen you or ever grabbed the treat jar. He knows exactly what that jar equals.

He is growing fond of his crate. He will walk right in now. He does great not crated too but since the resident puppy cannot be trusted alone he is also crated. He wants nothing to do with toys. He just watches everyone else with them. I have caught him with a bone in his month but that's it - no chewing!

 He also is very brave!! Wanders pretty far away from us at the dog park once off the leash. And one time he made it out the front door without anyone knowing. He was 4 houses down just wandering and smelling all the new scents!

UPDATE:  Ricky is finshed with heartworm treatment.  He is doing great and is ready to find his new family!!
