When her family could not afford her needed medical care, Pearl was taken to the shelter.  She will be on her way to the vet ASAP to see if her foot can be saved.  She is already spayed and is a sweet little girl who is good with other dogs.  Please check back on Pearl and please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE:  Pearl had surgery to remove her leg.  She has also started heartworm treatment.  She will be moving to her foster home soon  :)

Update:  04/10 - Hello my name is Pearl and I am a sweet Kentucky girl looking for a place to call my own! You will notice that I have a little something missing when it comes to paws but what's NOT missing is all the love I have to give!! I like to go outside and roll in the grass, crawl on your lap and just be loved on my my people! I have a new boot coming that will help me get around a bit easier so my toes don't get too sore. As you can see from my pictures, I don't let a lot get in my way of being a regular boxer girl!!


From Pearls foster mom: Pearl is very sweet, loves people, dogs and doesn't care about cats. She gets around very well but prefers to just hang out on the floor and chew on a bone. She crates up like a dream and is completely potty trained. She's also very good in the car and for the vet!

Pearl has tons of love and spirit!! She has one more quick HW treatment coming up and will have her sutures removed in a week. This girl has been thru a lot but her love of life is infectious!
