George will be with us 7 weeks tomorrow and is doing great.  He still has some weight to pick up (maybe another 5 lbs) as he has been putting it on at a good slow pace.  

 

George was left in a backyard when his previous owners moved away.  Neighbors finally had taken notice that the family had moved and was shocked when they found George skin and bones tied to a tree.  No one knows how long he was there since the neighbors were not sure when the family had moved exactly.  He was picked up by Animal Control and taken to a local rural county animal shelter in Kentucky.  We the help of the shelter staff and volunteers we were able to pull George from the shelter and get him safely into a foster home.  He has been with his foster family for 7 weeks now and is doing wonderful.  He gets along great with the other 5 boxers (male and female) in his foster home, he his completely vetted, neutered, crate trained and house trained.  He would do well with a home with another dog or dog(s).  His age is said to be about 8 yrs old; he is spunky, loves to go on walks with the rest of the pack or hang out of the couch with his foster mom and dad.
