Azalea was surrendered to a very small southern shelter. She is a very social girl and gets along well with all other dogs. She is settling in well at her temporary foster home, getting along well with all of her foster fursiblings. She is a typical young Boxer girl...she would be the alpha of the pack if allowed. She is FULL of energy and plays a little rough, her temp foster mom is working on that. Azalea also isn't fond of the crate, but they are working on that, too :)
UPDATE: Azalea is settling into her Minnesota foster home. She has learned that the crate isn't a bad place to be. Azalea is very food motivated and will do pretty much anything for a treat. She is all puppy! She has the puppy energy and will play like it. She will lick your face then try to bite your chin....and her teeth are sharp like a puppy :) She can get pretty rough when she plays but again we think it's because of the puppy stage. She is very sweet though! She just needs an adopter to match her energy level. Azalea is great with kids and great with other dogs, both male and female. IN FACT, WE FEEL SHE NEEDS AT LEAST ONE OTHER DOG IN THE HOUSE WITH AN ENERGY LEVEL THAT MATCHES HERS in order for her to be kept active enough for her to succeed. FENCED-IN YARD or RUNNING PARTNER is also a requirement as a daily walk will not help her exert enough energy to be a happy boxer girl.
