Cam just joined our rescue family yesterday and we are thrilled to have this adorable boy with us!  He is approximately a year old, great with other dogs and with adults and kids.  He was pretty interested in the cats at the shelter, we will test him a little further on that once he gets to his longer term foster home. 

Cam tested light heartworm positive so the shelter started him on pre-treatment medications.  We will run another heartworm test to confirm the result before we move him to treatment foster home.  He also had some pretty nasty open wounds on his hind legs when he was picked up by animal control but they are healing well.  

6/17 UPDATE:  Cam is doing very well after his first round of heartworm treatment.  He is scheduled for the second round on July 7-8th then will need about 4 weeks or so of crate rest and leash walking.  Please check back in to see how he is doing!!

7/31 UPDATE: Cam is all finished with his heartworm treatment and he is ready to find his furever home!!
