Ty and his best friend Madison are glad to be out of the shelter!!  They are pretty close but have done beautifully while being fostered separately and will be OK if they each find their own home.  Ty is great with other dogs and FULL of Boxer energy.  His favorite thing to do is give you his paw :)  Ty is good with kids and his perfect family will need to be committed to getting him lots of exercise and some basic obedience training.

FROM TY'S MINNESOTA FOSTER MOM:  I can't say enough great things about this boxer boy. He is simply one of the most amazing boxers I have run across. He has only been here a week and has adjusted so amazingly well. We absolutely LOVE this little boy.

Ty is great with kids. My girls (13 and 14) absolutely adore him. Due to his low energy level and size, he would do well with younger children as well. He is still a boxer and has lots of energy, but he minds his manners. He has also done well with the resident cat. He has given a couple of good chases around the house, but I am sure the cat said something mean to Ty and he just needed to set things straight.

He does well in his crate and goes in without any fuss. He did very well on his first short walk, but was very worried about things. He is a nervous boy, but he has calmed down quite a bit over the last 3 days. He would be fine as an only dog or in a house with another dog. He tends to be submissive with my female boxer, but she is a bit older and quite a bit larger than he is. Given that he doesn't want to hurt the cat, I don't  think smaller dogs would be a problem either.

If you are looking into getting your first boxer, this is the dog for you. He is very mellow and has such a loving personality. He still has all those great boxer qualities, but in a smaller and calmer package than most boxers his age.
